"Dare to Explore"- Auckland Libraries Summer Reading program will be starting soon!

 

A great way to keep the kids entertained and keep up their reading over the holidays!

What you and parents need to know:

       It runs from Dec 19 2013-19th Jan 2014

·         It's open for kids aged 5-13 years

·         They can register online or in person at any Auckland Library from the Monday 9th December, where they will get a 'passport' and 'calendar of events'!

·         They have to complete any 4 challenges to get an invite to come to a party at the end!

·         It consists of reading challenges and fun flexible activities and the theme this year is "Dare to Explore the world!"

·         They can do challenges online and also while away on holiday!

·         Info for parents and caregivers will be in the 'passport' and online! (or come to talk to us in the library!!)

    Good things to tell the kids!

·         There is a party for all the kids who complete 4 challenges! ( lollies! Games!)

·         There are fun activites! ( like taking a photo of yourself reading somewhere cool! )

·         Its not like homework! Haha

·         They can come and do stuff at the library in the hols or while away!
